‘Harvey’ revival hits a big snag
The production of “Harvey” that’s at the Laguna Playhouse has been delayed in its route to Broadway, said producer Don Gregory.
He had planned to open the show Oct. 1 at the Lyceum Theatre, but the theater’s managers “got cold feet,” he said, and instead now plan to present “I Am My Own Wife.”
Gregory said he was still optimistic that the revival would open on Broadway during the coming season, adding that “it’s a lot tighter” than it was on opening night in Laguna Beach and that star Charles Durning is “more in command of his lines.”
