Airport Panel to Weigh Rent Relief Program
- Share via
The Los Angeles Airport Commission on Tuesday will consider a $9.47-million rent relief program for ailing concessionaires at Los Angeles International Airport and Ontario International Airport.
The program also would allow operators who qualify to defer requirements that they make improvements to their shops and restaurants. Concessionaires at the city’s airports have lost millions of dollars and laid off hundreds of employees since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Many requested relief from commissioners several weeks ago.
It was unclear what time period this proposal covers and how concessionaires would qualify.
