Moorpark 16, Ventura 6--Edward Casillas rushed for 119 yards in 21 carries and Nikoles Lewis caught a 33-yard pass for Moorpark’s only touchdown at Ventura.
With Moorpark leading, 13-6, with just more than five minutes left, Ventura had possession at its own 35-yard line, but Chad Metelak’s pass was intercepted by Eric Watkins and returned 31 yards to the Ventura 14-yard line.
The play set up a 25-yard field goal by Shawn Nakamura with 2:17 remaining.
Nakamura finished with field goals of 25, 26 and 25 yards.
Lewis caught a scoring pass from Tim Bird to give the Raiders (3-1, 2-0) a 13-3 lead with 44 seconds left in the third quarter.
David Camaron rushed for 115 yards in 32 carries for Ventura (1-3, 0-2). Josh Barton kicked field goals of 29 and 23 yards for Ventura.
