Harley Noise

* Is there no way to quiet those Harleys whose owners have modified the exhaust systems? Is it unreasonable to expect state or local governments to draft effective noise-control legislation? I mean, there is leaf blower and rooster legislation out there. Is it unreasonable to expect the local or state constabulary to enforce noise regulations? Those loud motorcycles are not that hard to spot.
It is odd that such a small minority of vehicles on the road is allowed to generate so much noise pollution. Though not desirable, it is understandable that trucks and buses are so noisy. Heavy equipment ostensibly performs a societal benefit. Harleys, for the most part, provide individual recreation. It seems odd that, as a society, we cannot manage this one annoyance.
