Red Sox Closer Gordon on DL

Boston closer Tom Gordon was put on the 15-day disabled list Sunday because of a strained right elbow he suffered Saturday. Red Sox officials said Gordon was sent to the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester for an MRI. . . . Joseph Ficarrotta, a lawyer for Darryl Strawberry, said that his client will plead not guilty to charges of solicitation of prostitution and possession of cocaine late Wednesday night.
