Students to Compete in Annual Youth Olympics
About 600 middle and high school students will compete at the second annual San Fernando Valley Youth Olympics on Saturday.
Los Angeles Unified School District students will vie in basketball, volleyball, tennis, track and field, flag football and cheerleading.
Winning teams will receive trophies and individual team members will get medals, said event Chairwoman Gina Lim.
Games will begin at 8 a.m. at Cleveland High School, 8140 Vanalden Ave., Reseda. Opening ceremonies are scheduled for 11:30.
Admission for spectators is free.
The event is sponsored by the Valley Korean American Parents Assn.
