EC Trade Official to Visit Washington
European Commission Vice President Sir Leon Brittan, the body’s chief trade representative, is scheduled to arrive in Washington today to meet with members of the administration and Congress on trade issues, including the upcoming World Trade Organization meeting in Seattle. On Tuesday, Brittan will provide an update on U.S.-European trade issues--including bananas and beef hormones--at the National Press Club.
