Pulitzer prize-winning playwright Edward Albee will lecture next month to kick off Chapman University’s Festival of the Arts. The festival, set to begin May 1, will feature an afternoon of performances and workshops on a variety of topics, including poetry, ceramics and tai chi. Children’s activities include a bouncing house and face-painting. All activities are free, except for Albee’s talk. Tickets for that lecture are $5 for adults and $3 for children and students. The lecture begins at 1 p.m.; all other activities start at 2 p.m. at the university, 333 N. Glassell St. Information: (714) 997-6519.
