The World Bank will hold a briefing to release its “Global Development Finance, 1999” report. The report predicts that average gross domestic product growth in developing and transition countries may fall to 1.5% in 1999, the lowest since 1982. But the report also projects a modest recovery of about 3.6% by 2000.
