UC Irvine Beats No. 7 Hawaii
Donnie Rafter had a match-high 33 kills to help 13th-ranked UC Irvine to a five-game victory over No. 7 Hawaii in a Big West Conference men’s volleyball match Saturday at Irvine.
Mike Rupp added 20 kills and Josh Richardson added 13 as the Anteaters won, 16-14, 8-15, 4-15, 15-10, 15-13.
It was the first time Irvine (13-8, 10-6) has defeated Hawaii (15-8, 8-7) in 17 meetings.
