Mushroom Seekers
Patricia Ward Biederman’s “Stalking the Wild Mushroom” (March 19) was unfortunate. She has carelessly exposed the wilds to countless $30-per-pound selfish Jeff Kramer copycats.
The story was interesting but The Times, along with the story’s participants, is morally bankrupt for publishing it with complete disregard to the Santa Monica Mountains ecosystem and our already too-often-ignored park rules.
Will she next spotlight how to cut down one of those coast live oaks for firewood?
