Raid Leads to Weapons Charges Against Man
The district attorney’s office has filed seven counts of possessing stolen weapons and two counts of possessing illegal weapons against a Torrance man whose home was raided by police last week, a Redondo Beach police detective said.
Mark Moore, 46, is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail at Men’s Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles.
Acting on a tip from an informant, the Redondo Beach Police Department raided Moore’s home in the 4800 block of Reynolds Road on Thursday evening, said Det. Dave Taneman. They found more than 50 weapons, including machine guns, assault rifles and antique guns.
Police said that some of the guns were stolen from a storage locker in Calabasas.
“We suspect he was selling the weapons,” said Taneman, who added that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms was testing the larger caliber guns.
