Campaign Has Ads of Note
The L.A. Philharmonic’s fall ad campaign has sent many a commuter home humming. The banner ads, which hang from about 450 lampposts about town, phonetically spell out the beginning notes of popular classical compositions. For example: “da, da, da, dah . . . “ (Beethoven, Symphony No. 5), and “bum, ba bum, ba, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum (Mozart’s “Eine kleine Nachtmusik”). There are two others we won’t spoil for you, but be warned: Keep at least one eye on the road.
