In other Golden League games:
Highland 28, Antelope Valley 25--Brandon McElvaine rushed for 209 yards in 33 carries and scored three touchdowns for the Bulldogs (3-6, 2-2) at Highland.
McElvaine put the Bulldogs ahead for good early in the fourth quarter when he scored on a seven-yard run. He scored on a 44-yard run to cut an 11-point Antelope Valley lead midway through the second quarter.
Until McElvaine’s third score, however, the game belonged to Antelope Valley (2-6-1, 1-3) and running back Bruce Molock, who scored on runs of one and 24 yards and rushed for 166 yards in 35 carries.
Molock began the fourth quarter with 172 yards rushing, but with Highland keying on him, he was no longer effective.
Antelope Valley, faced with fourth-and-inches with six minutes to play, was stopped when linebacker Edwin Reed tackled Molock in the backfield. Molock injured his ankle on the play and was hobbled thereafter.
