Chaminade 42, Bishop Montgomery 7--Lee Grassini rushed for three touchdowns and Lyle Everett passed for three touchdowns for the Eagles (5-4, 2-0) at Bishop Montgomery (0-9, 0-2).
Grassini rushed for 159 yards in 23 carries, scoring on runs of seven, one and two yards. Dennis Mikulich rushed for 82 yards in nine carries for Chaminade.
Everett had his first two passes intercepted, and finished five of 17 for 98 yards. Chris Canoles had touchdown receptions of 22 and 15 yards, and Scott Hass had a 26-yard scoring reception.
Chaminade held the Knights to 58 yards, 46 in the first half. Bishop Montgomery scored when Damond Chiles ran 44 yards on a fake punt with 1:39 left in the first quarter.
