Youth Arts Day Touts Global Palette of Fun
An eclectic celebration for kids--featuring art, dance troupes and workshops--will take place Saturday at the Irvine Fine Arts Center.
The 16th annual Youth Arts Day will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is geared toward children 3 to 11.
This year’s theme, “Art Around the World,” will enable children to experience art from other cultures. There will be eight workshops, including “Japanese Koi Kites,” “Clay Pots From India” and “Spanish Still Life Drawing.”
An African dance troupe, “Djo-Gbe,” and Jim Gamble’s “Puppets From Around the World” will perform.
Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Admission is free for adults and $3 per child.
The Irvine Fine Arts Center is in Heritage Park, 14321 Yale Ave.
