Residential: Southern California home prices will continue to increase, but at a more modest pace than the 10% forecast for 1998. Real estate prices and sales in inland areas--such as Riverside County and the Antelope Valley--will outpace the projected 4% to 6% increase for most other areas as buyers seek an affordable alternative to expensive coastal areas.
