Science Southern California Style
Through hands-on exhibits, the Discovery Science Center showcases Southern California’s physical landscape, celebrates the region’s creative spirit and pays tribute to its air and space industry. Come take a look inside Orange County’s newest attraction, which opens Saturday.
1st FLOOR
Human Perception encourages visitors to touch and experiment with “safe danger” without being harmed. Quake Zone fosters an understanding of seismic activity in California and around the world. Dynamic Earth explores the changing patterns on land, in the atmosphere and along waterways.
2nd FLOOR
Exploration Station encourages inquiry-based learning that leads visitors to form their own hypotheses and conclusions. Principles of Flight focuses on the physical forces and properties involved in flight and space exploration. Human Performance examines visitors’ physical abilities and limitations on Earth. Space Exploration simulates activities performed by astronauts in space. KidStation provides a play place for pre-schoolers.
