Ice Dogs Win Again at Home
John Byce’s 11th goal of the season at 6:13 in the third period gave the Ice Dogs a 7-3 victory over the Las Vegas Thunder on Sunday night at Long Beach Arena.
Long Beach (22-8-0) has the best overall record in the International Hockey League, and a six-game home winning streak.
Claude Jutras scored the first goal for Long Beach at 5:36 in the second period. Sean Tallaire’s second goal of the season gave the Ice Dogs a 2-0 advantage. Las Vegas then scored three unanswered goals in less than two minutes to take a 3-2 lead.
Long Beach scored four consecutive goals in the third period to seal the victory, the first from Doug Ast. Byce followed with his game-winner.
