“We think it’s the perfect hook for hanging precious Christmas ornaments,” says Susan Brown of the “ornament enhancers” that have become the family business.

It started two years ago with her desire for something nicer than the usual wire hooks for displaying family heirloom Christmas ornaments. Husband John, a tool and dye maker, created a sturdy yet fancy hook in a swirl design that locks around the tree branch.

He began making them for gifts and now JP Brown Christmas Ornament Enhancers are carried in retail stores nationwide and included this year in such catalogs as Neiman Marcus and Horchow.
