* Canadian jazz diva Holly Cole sings torch standards and holiday songs with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. This popular holiday concert has sold out the last two years. Holly Cole’s Seasonal Soiree will be at the Orpheum Theatre, 884 Granville St., Dec. 20 and 21, 8 p.m. $20-$56.60. (604) 876-3434.
* The Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Center is featuring “Amazing Frogs!,” an exhibit on amphibians through May. It shows that frogs do a lot more than eat flies--and also explores the threat to amphibians from pollution, pesticides and acid rain. The aquarium is in Stanley Park, just north of downtown Vancouver. Open daily 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. $11.95; $10.55, students and seniors; $7.95, ages 4-12; children 4 and under, free. (604) 659-3400.
* Through Jan. 3, the Vancouver Museum presents “Hello Again! A New Wave of Recycled Art and Design,” an exhibition of more than 1,000 objects created by artists and designers from items once destined for landfills.
