* “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!”--Guy Paul, above, stars in the Old Globe Theatre’s production of the Dr. Seuss classic, continuing Tuesdays to Sundays through Jan. 3.

* “These Trying Times”--The gospel musical drama, with a cast headed by Sharon Marie Norwood, will be presented Saturday only at 7 p.m. at the Wilshire Ebell Theater.

* “The Glory of Christmas”--The biblical extravaganza, with more than 200 performers, flying angels and a menagerie of animals, continues at the Crystal Cathedral through Dec. 30.
