TUSTIN
The City Council today will again consider allowing a Burger King and play area to occupy the abandoned Wells Fargo Bank in the Ralph’s shopping center, 14601 Red Hill Ave. Residents in the neighboring Tustin Greens townhome complex have opposed the fast-food restaurant in the past, citing a potentially noisy drive-thru. New plans have placed the drive-thru more than 45 feet from the residences.
The new use would add 1,054 average daily trips to the center and adjacent street. The council meets at 300 Centennial Way at 7 p.m.
