Southwestern 37, Pierce 25--The Brahmas’ losing streak reached 19 games in a nonconference game at Pierce.

Southwestern scored on its opening possession, driving 65 yards for the touchdown. Lloyd Terry capped the drive with a 13-yard touchdown run up the middle.

Southwestern took a 27-9 halftime lead.

Pierce running back Jeremy Marque scored on touchdown runs of 43 and four yards. He finished with 78 yards in 10 carries.

Pierce recovered three Southwestern fumbles but was penalized 13 times for 95 yards.

Dan McMullen of Pierce completed of 19 of 40 passes for 182 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Southwestern led, 37-17, before Pierce scored a late touchdown on a fumble recovery in the end zone by lineman Joe Rosenthal.
