$25,000 Reward Reinstated for Leads in Deadly Arson
Hoping that a reward will revitalize efforts to solve a 1993 arson that killed a woman and her 3-year-old daughter, the Los Angeles City Council has reissued a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects responsible.
Veronica Ultreras, 22, and her daughter, Cynthia, were fatally injured in the 8 a.m. blaze at 848 N. Avenue 50, said Los Angeles Police Det. Kent Anderson of the Criminal Conspiracy Section.
“We have exhausted available leads and we are seeking the community’s assistance,†Anderson said Thursday, adding that detectives have not determined a motive for the crime.
