Williams Lets Job Get Away
Free safety Shaun Williams’ difficulty in catching the football has pushed him into the background in the punting game. Instead, Jermaine Lewis is Coach Bob Toledo’s top returner, with Damian Allen and Jim McElroy backing him up.
“Guess I’ll have to intercept some passes to get the ball now,” Williams said Tuesday.

Freshman Brian Polak took a turn with the first team, replacing Andy Meyers at right guard. UCLA probably will use a nine-man rotation in the offensive line if Polak plays. . . . Toledo said there probably will be a five-player rotation at defensive tackle, with freshman Kenyon Coleman getting 25-30 plays against Washington State on Saturday.
