Jeep Swenson; Actor, Professional Wrestler and Bodybuilder

Jeep Swenson, 40, who played Poison Ivy’s evil assistant Bane in this year’s movie “Batman and Robin.” Swenson, an internationally known bodybuilder whose biceps were recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records, had been a professional wrestler known as Jeep the Mercenary. He returned to the ring last year as the Ultimate Solution on pay television’s WCW Monday Nitro program. At 6-feet-6 and 400 pounds, Swenson needed little costuming for his role as Bane. His actual blood vessels were outlined in ink for “Batman” by the makeup experts at Warner Bros. Born in San Antonio, Swenson also appeared in episodes of the television series “Walker, Texas Ranger.” His other films included “No Holds Barred,” “The Big Brawl” and “Bulletproof.” On Aug. 18 in Los Angeles of heart failure.
