Venice Beach Begins Shuttle Service to Ease Parking Woes
It’s a truth as cruel as Mother Nature herself: As the nights grow shorter, the wait for beach parking grows longer.
To combat increasing traffic, Venice Beach officials announced this week that DASH, a free shuttle bus, has begun service for the season.
Running from Memorial Day to Labor Day, DASH buses will transport people from a parking lot at 4551 Glencoe Avenue in Marina del Rey to Venice Beach every 10 minutes on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
As in previous years, visitors can park all day at the Glencoe lot for $2 and ride the bus for free. Riders who park in the surrounding area must pay 25 cents per ride, Tennant said.
