More Charges Filed in Army Sex Probe
A fifth Army instructor has been charged in a sex scandal at Aberdeen Proving Ground, and another soldier who had faced charges has left the service. Sgt. 1st Class William Jones, 34, the latest soldier to be charged, is accused of indecent assault, being drunk on duty and failing to obey orders governing the interaction between instructors and students, the Army said. The Army also said that Sgt. 1st Class Theron Brown, charged with sodomy and adultery, had sought and was given a “discharge in lieu of court martial.” With the discharge, Brown faces no further prosecution.
