Where Are Soccer Fans When You Need Them?
Once again, soccer fans do not come out and support the U.S. national team at the U.S. Cup. Sure, the United States has many starters injured. Sure, it’s a little cold. Sure, the game is on television . . . sort of. But what was the excuse last month when Stanford Stadium could not be filled for a World Cup qualifying game?
How embarrassing. Shame on you, soccer fans! You should know by now that to increase credibility in this country, we need to support the U.S. soccer team every time it plays. If soccer fans continue to make ridiculous excuses not to go to the games, do not blame the media when they report to the rest of the world that nobody cares about soccer. It is time to blame ourselves.
