Kenny Knoop, a free safety from Glendale College, said Monday he will sign to play football for Cal State Northridge.
Knoop, 6 feet 4, 205 pounds, had four interceptions last season and was a second-team All-Western State Conference selection.
Knoop fills an immediate need for the Matadors, whose top two safeties last season were seniors.
