Search Warrant Served on Judge in Pomona
A search warrant was served late last week at the chambers and home of George W. Trammell III, a Superior Court judge in Pomona, authorities said Wednesday.
The warrant, served last Thursday, was “in furtherance of our investigation of extortion against the judge,” said Sgt. Ron Spear, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman.
He declined further comment.
Trammell, 60, resigned from the bench Friday. He had been a judge since 1971 and on the Superior Court bench since 1988.
