Woman Hurt as Fire Guts S. County Home
MISSION VIEJO — A 70-year-old woman was hospitalized Tuesday with minor burns after a morning fire destroyed her home, fire officials said.
Okboon Kim was treated at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center for burns after a 7:50 a.m. fire gutted her home in the 26000 block of Via Sintra, according to Capt. Scott Brown of the Orange County Fire Authority.
The fire caused an estimated $250,000 damage. Twenty-two firefighters controlled the blaze in 30 minutes. The cause is under investigation.
