Scheer on Carter
The self-serving piece by Robert Scheer (“Hullabaloo Over Lust,” Column Left, Dec. 17) was a perfect example of journalistic conceit and bruised ego. He is apparently consumed with the need to defend himself against a modest suggestion that he acted with impropriety 20 years ago in tape-recording President Carter’s comments about having “lust in his heart.”
Boy oh boy! Talk about vain columnists losing any sense of proportion and reality. Let Scheer “have it out” with President Carter. Who now cares about this incident, except apparently Scheer?
