* * Cher, “It’s a Man’s World,” Reprise. On the plus side, Cher actually sings in places, as opposed to simply emoting with her usual 20-mule-team gusto. As a result, the clever craftsmanship such songs as “Angels Running” and “The Gunman” isn’t entirely smothered. But some sort of over-the-top performance might have kept her versions of “Walking in Memphis” and “The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore” from being so drab.
