Unhappy Kings’ Fan Goes on the Offensive

To former King assistant Cap Raeder, who recently blamed the Los Angeles hockey fans for the team’s poor defensive play: The fans would have been happier with a strong defensive team that won games by the score of 3-1 than the geriatric bunch of overpaid, under-coached bums whom you obviously taught to get blown out of games on a consistent basis for the past seven years.

As the goaltending and defensive coach for one of the worst defensive teams in the NHL, Raeder needs only to look in the mirror to locate the true culprit for the Kings’ demise. He and his mentor, Barry Melrose, can head for the Boston Bruins and the ESPN studios, respectively, but the stench left behind by their inadequate coaching will remain to pollute the Forum ice for many dismal seasons to come.
