The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will hold a public meeting Wednesday to discuss proposed changes to portions of Santa Paula Creek, the corps’ Los Angeles district office has announced.
Slated for discussion are the removal of a downstream concrete channel, increasing the channel’s capacity and modifications to the Southern Pacific railroad bridge, the corps said.
Copies of environmental reports and a general re-evaluation report have been sent to the Santa Paula Public Library, the Santa Paula Community Development Building and the Ventura Flood Control District for the public to review before the meeting.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the Santa Paula Community Center, 530 W. Main St.
