PREP ROUNDUP : Miramontes’ Overtime Goal Gives SCC a Victory

Jesus Miramontes, who played at Sunny Hills, scored five minutes into overtime to give Southern California College a 1-0 victory over visiting Point Loma Nazarene in a Golden State Athletic Conference men’s soccer game Thursday.

The Vanguards (6-11-1, 2-6) trail Point Loma (5-7-2, 3-4-1) for the last playoff spot in the conference with two games remaining for both teams.

Azusa Pacific 7, Southern California College 1--The Vanguards (6-11-2, 2-6) gave up five second-half goals to Azusa Pacific, ranked 19th in the nation. Joy Pelletier scored her 13th goal of the season for SCC.
