PRO FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : RAMS : Concussion Still Bothers Miller
The Rams returned to work after a few days off, but quarterback Chris Miller had to leave early because of problems related to the concussion he suffered against New Orleans on Sunday.
Coach Chuck Knox said Miller went through all the film preparation for the Nov. 6 game against Denver but was allowed to leave before practice.
“He had an MRI and everything was fine, but there were still some lingering effects,” Knox said. “He just didn’t feel right, so the trainers checked him and he talked to the doctor. I wouldn’t think he would do any practicing until Wednesday. We’ll lean toward being conservative with it.”
Tackle Jackie Slater (triceps), defensive tackle Sean Gilbert (shoulder) and running back David Lang (hamstring) rejoined the team for practice and are expected to be ready for the Broncos. Cornerbacks Darryl Henley (groin) and Wymon Henderson (groin) worked sparingly.
The Rams, who have a bye this week, will practice today, take the weekend off and return Monday.

The Rams claimed tackle Ronald Edwards off waivers from Cincinnati and dropped Brad Fichtel to the practice squad.
Edwards was the Rams’ sixth-round draft pick this year. The team released him before the start of the season and intended to sign him to the practice squad, but the Bengals picked him up.
