BRIEFLY : Business: Fair Focuses on Contracts
A business fair will be held today for small-business owners who are women, members of minority groups or disabled veterans.
The purpose of the El Monte fair is to inform those business owners about contract opportunities available from the state, public utilities and large corporations, and to help them become certified to bid for the contracts. Representatives of utilities, corporations, government agencies and business-owner groups will be on hand.
A representative of the U.S. Small Business Administration will give a presentation.
The event will be from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Chinese Cultural Center, 9443 Telstar Ave. For more information, call (818) 369-3551.
