National Medical Sells Management Unit: The Santa Monica-based hospital chain said it has agreed to sell its management services division to a newly formed company called Specialty Healthcare Services Inc., with headquarters in Denver. The 600-employee division provides contract management services for psychiatric, physical rehabilitation and chemical dependency treatment. National Medical Chairman Jeffrey C. Barbakow said the deal “continues our strategy of focusing on our acute care hospitals and divesting non-core businesses.”
