Oxnard Gets Hueneme on Run, 27-13
PORT HUENEME — Oxnard High ground out a 27-13 Channel League victory over Hueneme Friday night.
Oxnard’s David Cameron rushed for 153 yards in 15 carries and scored on a 52-yard run.
Early in the third quarter, Oxnard’s Jimmy Dang recovered Ronnie Jenkins’ fumble.
Two plays later, Taj Lewis threw an eight-yard touchdown pass to Caleb Droughn, breaking a 13-13 tie.
Jenkins rushed for 184 yards in 20 carries and scored on a 30-yard run in the first quarter.
He also scored a touchdown on a 15-yard pass from George Jones in the second quarter.
