Clinton Will Name 3 New Members to Cancer Board

WASHINGTON — President Clinton announced his intention to appoint three new members to the National Cancer Advisory Board.
Dr. J. Michael Bishop of San Francisco is a professor at UC San Francisco. He shared a 1989 Nobel Prize for research on oncogenes. Dr. Philip S. Schein of Pennsylvania is head of U.S. Bioscience. Dr. Vainutis K. Vaitkevicius of Detroit is president of the Michigan Cancer Foundation.
