SANTA ANA : Top School Officials to Get 5% Pay Raises
The governing board of the Santa Ana Unified School District has approved 5% raises for its top-level administrators.
It voted 3 to 2 this week to grant the increases, with Trustees Sal Mendoza, Audrey Yamagata-Noji and Robert W. Balen in favor and Rosemarie Avila and Tom Chaffee opposed.
Four assistant superintendents, the executive director of personnel and an assistant to the superintendent will receive the raises, which will boost their average salary from $86,262 to $90,675, district spokeswoman Diane Thomas said.
The district is the county’s largest, with nearly 50,000 students.
