Body Found in Remote Desert
LANCASTER — Hunters found a decomposing body in a remote desert area of Lancaster on Monday, authorities said.
The body, which was discovered about 4 p.m., had not been identified, and investigators had not determined whether it was that of a man or a woman, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Rich Erickson said.
The body was found near 95th Street West and Avenue G in north Lancaster, Erickson said.
Investigators, who were still on the scene late Monday, do not know the cause of death or how long the victim had been dead, Erickson said.
