Brewers Beat Angeles in Opener, 7-6
MILWAUKEE — Kevin Seitzer hit a three-run homer and the Milwaukee Brewers won their sixth straight game, 7-6 over the Angels in the opener of a doubleheader Friday.
Seitzer tagged Mark Holzemer (0-1) for his third three-run homer in four days. He connected twice this week against Oakland, the team that released him earlier this season.
With two outs in the sixth, Juan Bell walked and Darryl Hamilton singled. Seitzer followed with his ninth home run of the season and fifth since the Brewers signed him July 29.
Milwaukee starter Teddy Higuera, making his third start after a two-year layoff because of rotator cuff problems, gave up three runs on five hits in four innings. He struck out three and walked two.
Mike Fetters (3-3) relieved in the sixth after the Angels scored an unearned run off Doug Henry.
