New President Named for Nissan North America: Tetsuo Tabata has been named to the position, effective immediately. He is replacing Haruo Ohno, who was named president and chief executive of Calsonic Corp., a Nissan group company that produces automotive air conditioners, radiators and related equipment. Tabata, 54, most recently was director and member of the board for Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. He joined Nissan in 1962 after graduating from the Department of Spanish, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.
