Bradley, Martinez Win Tournament

The second-seeded team of Kevin Bradley and Ignacio Martinez defeated No. 4 Fredrik Axsater and Mark Huarte, 6-4, 6-2, Tuesday in the doubles final of the San Diego All-College Tournament at the University of San Diego.

It marked the second all-Torero final in the tournament. Bradley, a USD senior, had defeated Axsater, also a USD senior, 7-5, 6-4 in the singles final Saturday.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Point Loma Nazarene held off a late rally to beat The Master’s College, 87-82, which trailed by as many as 17 points before closing to 84-82 with 30 seconds left at Golden Gymnasium. Guard Shawn DeLaittre had 18 points and led five PLNC players who scored in double figures. The Crusaders (4-3) answered with five free throws--three by Julious Coleman--in the final half minute. Hugo Cosio, who made the other two free throws, finished with 14 points and Richard Hart had 13. The Master’s is 1-5.
