Family Values

In response to the Pomona letter-writer who wanted to be part of the Nielsen family, let me say you’re lucky you’re not. We were members of the Arbitron-Scan-America for a year-and-a-half. Although I liked the idea of helping to determine which shows stayed on, it was a colossal pain in the rear.

Every 30 minutes we had to press the controller button to tell who’s watching. Even worse was scanning all your groceries. Putting away groceries took twice as long. No thanks!
