Deed Homes to City
I read the column, “Hopes Abandoned and the Homes That Once Sheltered Them,” (Times Valley Edition Nov. 15).
The city will eventually take over these properties in tax sales.
If the owners do not want to fix up the property, let the owner deed the property immediately and not wait for the city to take it.
The city could give them to builders to fix up. As long as builders can make a profit, they will fix them and buyers can buy with small down payments, perhaps enough down to pay the taxes.
